How to tell X200 screen resolutions

#1 Post by edik » Sun Nov 19, 2017 1:02 pm

I once had an X200s with 1440x900 (the better screen resolution).

As I recall I found out the machine had this resolution before purchasing from eBay (where most sellers usually have no idea of this) by the positioning of the Lenovo logo on the bezel?

Can anybody remind me of what exactly to look for?

Sorry if this has been asked before!

The 7 digit Type number (can be checked with http://sm.krelay.de/tp/index.php or http://thinkpadder-id.com/mtm/ ) will tell the screen config of the laptop.

The Lenovo badge's placement being a differentiating marker is radical.... but looking at these Notebookreview pictures show that indeed, this 1440x900 X200s model, in addition to having black hinges, has its Lenovo badge on the far left, while this run of the mill X200 has it on the right side between the name and indicators.

This X201s also has the left-side Lenovo badge.

Also of note, all 1440x900 lids do not have webcams!

And don't forget that the WXGA lid has a groove along the LCD-cover top.
WXGA+ (1440x900) lid has no such groove.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

Thanks, didn't know that.

Useful to know as eBay sellers mostly don't and I want ed to make sure!
