x201/x201s noob questions

#1 Post by Whitieiii » Sun Nov 26, 2017 2:34 pm

I'm looking at photos and information of both the x201 and x201s.... some photos of the x201s show a webcam and some don't does it come with or without the webcam? now the x201s supposedly has a lower volt CPU but are the displays interchangeable? I always see people asking if the x201s screen can be swapped into an x201 but could it be done the other way around? I'd love to have the lower res screen with the lower voltage CPU and to get the webcam if it doesn't come with one

X201s and X201 screens are interchangable.

X201s with 1280x800 displays can come with a webcam but might not. ALL 1440x900 displays DON'T COME WITH WEBCAMS.

X201s i7-640LM is slightly less powerful than a X201 i7-620M
X201s i7-620LM is slightly less powerful than a X201 i5-560M
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
