X220 with WWAN Sierra Wireless MC7304 - GPS Possible?

#1 Post by whereskarlo » Tue Dec 19, 2017 2:44 pm

I have a X220 with bios whitelist removed and WWAN MC7304 installed. The MC7304 has three connectors, 2 are used by the X220 but the last one, GPS doesn't have antenna connectors.

Can I splice off something to use as GPS antenna? Or, buy a GPS antenna with U.FL connector and mount somewhere in the chassis for GPS support? Like this: https://techship.com/products/internal- ... antenna/1/

Does anyone have recommendations for how to achieve GPS with this WWAN card given that X220 doesn't have native antennas for GPS (at least my don't since I have a webcam)?
