Hi,
I recently got myself an X201T in pretty good shape. When I got it, I got to work installing windows 7 with all the officiall drivers from Lenovo themselves. I also made sure to install all the latest updates. However, it seemed to run pretty hot so I installed hw monitor and saw that my temps, while idle, were about 50°C or 122°F. I then decided to repaste it with some Arctic Silver 5, I made sure not to put too much. Much to my dismay, the temps did not improve and the laptop is still quite hot. With about 5 tabs open in firefox it can sometimes go up to 60°C or 140°F. I've heard that this laptop runs pretty hot but 50°C idle sound a bit too much. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
