X200 Tablet - Fonts Jagged

#1 Post by xsixt » Wed Jan 31, 2018 11:40 pm

I disabled all cleartype in Windows 7 because the fonts looked really horrible. [In contrast my T60P the fonts look pretty good, even with cleartype enabled!]

Using Tahoma (The windows XP font) the X200T now looks a bit better in Windows 7. However, in programs like Firefox the fonts in the actual webpage are really jagged.

I know this isn't the highest res display (1280x800), but wondering if it can display fonts any better, even in other OSes (Linux etc.).

Thanks.

Don't know whether this is a hardware related problem or just Windows.

I'd recommend you to install MacType software for Windows (mactype dot net).
Pretty good font rasterizer. Also it's free. Give it a try.
There's a chance you will like the results.
