Lenovo just lists this as "Inverter Card" on the parts list (below), it does not say for CCFL or LED. Can't find this info anywhere! FRU is 42W8051 or 42W8052

Definitely CCFL. The big part covered in orange plastic is the inductor. LED-backlit screens don't need that.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons

:thumbs-UP: Big thank you. That's what I thought, but I thought I should double check! Need to order one and don't want to get the wrong bit.

I just checked the X200T/X201T HMM. It appears some of the models don't have inverter cards, which could only mean that those have LED-backlit screens. If yours has an inverter card, then it's definitely CCFL.

I wonder if they still have a "card" even though it doesn't have an inductor on it. That's how the X200/X201 (not tablets) are, but in contrast the manual listed a FRU even for the non-inductor card.

In the non-Tablet X200/201, the inverter card contains the indicator LEDs. For non-CCFL models, the card has no inverter circuit, just the indicators, that's why it's called a "LED board" in the HMM.

In the X200T/201T, the microprocessor card (which controls the Tablet buttons on the bottom left part of the lid) also contains the LED indicators.
