Found it on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comme ... kpad_x220/

Apparently it's a Macbook 2007 (a1181). The system board was dead, and OP had a spare X220 planar board and screen.

Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch
Impulse Buy: Thinkpad not named for safety reasons
RIP: X220 4291-C91 X61 7676-A24 760XD-U9E

Hey he kept the removable battery  !

Interesting mod....now if we could do the opposite I think that'd be even cooler. The new MBPs could probably be total beast machines with a proper keyboard, shell, integrated port adapters, and a proper cooling system. Regardless, someone has more patience than I do for this stuff...its pretty cool. Thanks for sharing :thumbs-UP:
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
