How to identify genuine battery

#1 Post by maxcreations » Wed Apr 17, 2019 2:43 am

I have a choice between two 44+ batteries, but I think, that one of them is not genuine Lenovo.
Can 44+ battery be produced in 2017 year?
What does Li-ion00 and Li-ion20 means?

Here are the links to the batteries photos:

Thanks!

Yeah that is legit. No clone would go out of their way to not just clone the Lenovo logo, but update it to the new one. Wouldn't surprise me if this was one of the last 44 cells made.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Thanks! I asked, because I was a bit confused with the 44+ mark placed too close to the WEEE symbol and production date on one of them.

Bought one with the updated logo. Can confirm that it's looks, works and feels like genuine.
Holds about 4 hrs at mixed workload with brightness setted at 7-9 on x220 i5/16gb/860 evo.
Thanks everyone!

Could you share the battery source? I'd happily get one (or 5) for my systems.
Too many thinkpads not enough time!

Sorry for the really long answer! I got it on local Russian "Craigslist" site Avito. But I'm not sure if anyone from this website will send anything abroad. But sometimes there are nice deals.

Tell me about it. Over the years I've have seen quite a few stuff I would happily buy on Avito, but the lack of an automatic system for checkout/payment/shipping abroad like you have on eBay/Amazon/Aliexpress makes it almost impossible for me, since I'd have to negotiate with each seller to send abroad and most of them probably won't, and if they do - the platform does not provide any insurance/guarantee.
