X220 X230 parts swapping.. LED issue

#1 Post by digmorepaka » Wed Jan 15, 2020 5:55 pm

Hi! I have an X230 in a X220 chassis. Everything seems to work, except the keyboard leds and bluetooth led.

I know the EC flash is fine and that my keyboard is fine, I have tried the keyboard in a different X230 and the leds worked fine, I also redid the EC flash. Anyone have experience with this issue? Both of the grounds on the keyboard connector are present.

And the bluetooth led i thought about taking a signal from the mpcie slot and wiring it in a similar way as the X220 had it. I'd like a second opinion on this.

When I put an X220 lid on an X230 planar my bluetooth light was also dysfunctional.

Yes, that is because there is no bluetooth led on the X230. The pins that it connects to are just NoConnect on the connector.
