I am interested in the mod of screen resolution 1900*1200. is there anyone who has tried it?

16:10 WUXGA can be supported by the X201. I want to know which panel to buy for the mod.

KD122N4-30NH-B2 is the lcd you need.

I tried the mod, had it working, somehow broke the electronics of the screen when I redid my adapter cable. Then gave up.

Is that display really plug and play with the laptops' original LVDS LCDs?

I doubt it. A screen like that would most likely be eDP.

Thank you very much! I have one more question. I checkth eBay but there is no the lcd. How did you purchase it? Or KD122N5 might be working?

According to 51nb the KD122N5-A6 is compatible. Maybe it is just a glossy version of the screen. I do not know.

And there is nothing plug and play about this mod.

You have to cut the LVDS lanes, solder several SMD parts to connect the eDP lanes, flash the WUXGA mod bios and build an adapter cable for the different pinout and connector.

EDIT
I just lokked at pictures of the KD122N5. It has the electronics board at the bottom of the panel, I do not think this will fit in the X201 lid.
The KD122N4 has the board on the back of the panel.

I bought my panel from LCDfans on facebook. I do not know if they are active anymore.

And do not buy a KD122N4-40NH-A6 panel. Those are for tablets and do not have an eDP but a MIPI interface.

Looks like somone made an adapter similar to the X230/X220 to fit an 12.9" lcd on the X201

Wonder if this is still possible to buy.
