Thinkpad x200 running Windows 10

#1 Post by elecronicq » Sat Apr 04, 2020 11:51 am

Hello,

Is somebody running Windows 10 on a Thinkpad x200?

Can you write your thoughts on it?

Thank you

I'm running W10 on an X220. All works well. Performance is very good.

X200 shipped with up to W7 officially. W10 should work just as well. Removing Windows Defender (or not installing in the first place) would probably speed things up a lot.

I had Windows 10 on my X200s that originally had the Celeron chip, it ran passably with an SSD installed. I eventually upgraded it to a dual core series chip, forget which model.

With 4gb and an SSD it ran quite nicely, might be better with Linux of some kind, but Windows 10 is quite usable.
