X200 - Can't get hotkeys working on Windows XP

I recently got a ThinkPad X200. I installed Windows 7 on it with recovery media from archive.org and confirmed that the hardware is functional.

Now I installed Windows XP and downloaded the drivers from Lenovo: https://download.lenovo.com/lenovo/cont ... /X200.html (wrote a python script to download all the files from that HTML page). I installed all the power management and hotkey related drivers, but the hotkeys do not work (volume keys, ThinkVantage, Fn+F2, Fn+F3, Fn+F5 etc).

Is there another driver that's needed to get the hotkeys working? I do not have any devices without drivers in Device Manager.

You need to get an older version of Hotkey Features. Specifically 3.81 or older. The newest version, 3.89, for whatever reason doesn't work properly on a lot of ThinkPads.

Lenovo's page: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downlo ... 0-thinkpad

Direct download link for the version 3.81 package: https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/p ... vu23ww.exe
