Complete screen and lid swap between two X220 one IPS and one not

Hello I'm here again looking to pick people's brains.
If I buy an IPS equipped X220 can I do a straight swap of the display with lid etc on to another X220 that does not have IPS?
I have swapped screens before on other thinkpads - T60 and X60 but don't know if there are things stopping the straight swap in this case.

Get the X220 HMM from the HMM-Manuals link above.
And yes, it's a straight swap.

It's a straight swap. However, swapping just the screen might be easier. Follow the instructions for 2030 - LCD Panel in the X230 HMM, not the X220 HMM where, for some reason, they neglected to mention this as an option.

As someone who's done exactly that (transplant lid with IPS screen from one X220 to another), it's a straight swap.
