X200 Tablet Factory Restore - Help Needed

Hey all, new to the forum.

I recently picked up an X200 Tablet, and after throwing a fresh copy of windows 7 on it, while it was usable, I couldn't get all of the drivers working as they were likely intended from the factory, and I generally would like this to be a factory settings machine as a base. So I went and found the 3 recovery discs and thought "okay, I'll just burn the boot disc to a USB drive and use it." no such luck, apparently they have to be on DVDs. Fine. I did that, but still to no avail. The Rescue and Restore utility still gets stuck on "preparing hard disk" and the DVD drive eventually spins down. Removing and reinserting the disc causes it to for some reason think it made it through the part of the setup it was on... whoever programmed that logic wasn't having a great day... I am using a USB DVD drive, which from what I understand should be fine. Does it need to be the ultrabase?

But really my overall question is... what is the best way to get these machines back to a factory state? Does anyone just have a fresh factory hard disk image for the X200 Tablet?

you can search the web for the factory restore images. You will need some blank cd's and a external cd drive, but this should work.
