I just ordered one last night. During check-out it gave me Estimated Ship Date of 8/11/2011
I received my order confirmation e-mail, it is now showing Estimated Ship Date of 8/18/2011.

I also included a rep ID during my order, some random rep who answered 1-2 questions when I chatted with him a few days ago. I figure, why not.. so i put a rep id.
Yesterday I e-mailed them about the delay, no reply so far.

@steveDC, congrats on your new lappy. What are your first impressions ?

I ordered one on July 26. Estimated ship date was August 8th. The laptop came on August 3rd.

I am sure you did some homework. Did you find any 20GB drives?

i5 2410, Prem HD, 4GB, 320 HDD, BT, 720p, 6250 WiMAX

I just ordered mine last Friday (September 16), and I already have it in my hands today! Unexpectedly fast.

So far I like it - I upgraded from an x61 tablet - except I have to say that the low resolution and the widescreen are bothering me. But I guess I'll have to get adjusted to that. A few more vertical pixels would have been nice though.

The single thing I missed was getting the Realtek rather than the Intel wifi -- definitely worth the extra 20 bucks for the Intel since I run linux and the drivers for the Realtek are a bit iffy yet.

So much fun having Backtrack on this on a partition, and being able to run that instance from inside vmware when I have Windows booted.

Overall, I'm delighted so far. I'm probably going to add onsite and computrace. And I'm drooling over the OCZ SSDs just announced - in a 7mm housing, so they'll fit, as far as I can tell.

I ordered an X220 from the outlet on 3/12/2012, and the estimated ship date is 3/16/2012.

I was hoping to get it sooner than if I'd purchased it new (it was considerably cheaper regardless), but what can ya do.

It's got the following specs:

Core i7
8GB RAM
160GB Intel SSD (I was going to just get a regular HDD and put an mSATA SSD in there as well but I can hold off since the unit was so cheap )
IPS display

No Bluetooth and I think it has the base WiFi, and it has the 6-cell battery but from what I hear it should be quite adequate. If not I can always buy another. Or the slice battery...

Can't wait to get it! I was disappointed in the slow ship date since the laptop should just be waiting in a warehouse for shipment, but what can ya do. I heard some horror stories about the Outlet, so I hope I don't end up like one of them, lol.

Got the 15% discount deal. Too bad CA tax killed it $859.86, after tax $941.10

Regardless I chose it over an 8GB refurb from feebay for $860. Here it goes:

I have a Lenovo T61 right now. It's awesome, I bought it on Ebay for 350 bucks and I have an Intel 320 SSD in it. Faster than any other laptop I know. However, I am upgrading for college! My Dad (very generously) bought me a Lenovo X220t for my high school graduation. I'm so excited to try out this computer for note taking! I am planning on majoring in computer engineering at the moment, attending U of Wisconsin-Madison.

Thinkpads rock! I cannot understand why people say they're ugly. I really think they're quite sexy, utilitarian and wonderful because they never go out of style.

Woot! just got my shipment notification for my x230. Looking forward to the upgrade from the current x201.

Ordered 5th, shipped the 7th, eta the 13th. Works for me.

I ordered my x230 on 07/29, shipped 08/03, eta 08/09 in France.

Ordered an x201 on ebay today should be here by the 11th of APril. Previously owned a X220 but the taller screen, condition and an i7 meant I had to grab it
