x300, still hot palm rest? (pics)

The area under the palmrest is primarily occupied by the battery, so there should be no heat problems.

I can confirm in my 3 days use of the X300 I have not had any heat from the wrist rest area.
My unit has been on for over 2 hours and there is no noticible heat.
To be honest the whole machine runs very cool.

that plus the fact that the X300 uses SSDs so there's no heat build up as a result of a rotating hard disk. It's just cool and quiet and none of that to worry about :)

The palm rest is room temperature. There's very little heat coming off the machine at all anywhere. If I put my hand in front of the fan vent, I can feel a gentle, vaguely warm breeze coming out, but that's about it.

as you can see from the Notebookreview.com's review the system doesn't get more so much more than room temps:
