Has anyone been able to buy an X300 with the integrated Verizon WWAN EVDO? If so, which model did you get and when? I can't find a single vendor that is selling an X300 model with integrated EVDO. You can't even order an EVDO model on Lenovo's website.

Many Lenovo vendors have X300 models that come with integrated EVDO available for backorder, however I'm just curious if any have actually shipped from Lenovo or any vendor. Seems like they haven't. Latest news from a reliable vendor I know says they pushed them back till mid March.

Lenovo.com now has Mobile Broadband models available.
...but it looks like you won't get the actual computer for >4 weeks.
Integrated Wireless WAN: Verizon Sierra CDMA2000
Integrated Wireless WAN: AT&T
Selecting this option may delay your shipment more than 4 weeks.

It looks like a couple of the WWAN models have finally shipped and are either enroute or available for purchase. I noticed a few distributors showing stock this morning and sold out quickly, so I guess Lenovo has finally begun shipping WWAN models. Others have indicated that Lenovo Direct orders for units with WWAN also have shipped over the past couple days. Great news!

I read that in the UK the machine comes locked to the Vodafone network, although I believe it can be unlocked and used on other networks.

Shfawaz,
I can confirm that they are now available in limited quantities as I'm playing on a 6478-1JU at the moment. Overall I'm quite pleased with this model. It's very fast for an ultra portable and has a much brighter screen than the prior Thinkpads ( T and Z series) I have owned.

Great for you! Where did you manage to get one? I had orders with 3 different vendors who showed stock of the 1JU on Tuesday and every one supposedly ran out before my order was fulfilled (shared warehouse stock apparently)
I have a couple 6478-1VU units which has the Verizon WWAN units enroute to me as we speak, and should arrive tomorrow.

I got mine from Ingram Micro; however they have no X300s in stock as of this morning.

Are you guys able to order as a "reseller" from distributors like Ingram Micro? I don't suppose a regular person like me can do the same?

Ingram Micro only sells resellers / distributors.
Can the WAN be added later?

If you buy the X300 without the WAN option, are the internal antenae still there, allowing the min PCI card to be added?

the WWAN antenna is installed on all models so service can be added later by installing a card.
