I am installing XP Professional, and have everything working except for one unknown "PCI Device" Anyone know what this may be?

BTW, I have loaded all of the Thinkvantage apps, drivers, and download from the Lenovo.com/us site, and surprisingly, the software packages are not under the downloads section for the X300 (client security and access connections)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

what's the device ID?   could it be the WUSB card or atmel TPM?

I do not have UWB and the TPM is installed and I do not show a device ID since it does not have the driver

everything has a hardware ID regardless of a driver being installed.

open the device manager (start > run: devmgmt.msc), right-click on the device, select 'properties', go to the 'details' tab, then select 'hardware ids' from the drop-down menu.   the device class guid will also help identify it as you can search google for the string shown.

It turned out to be the AHCI controller. When you run the install script it loads the driver for AHCI into windows to allow booting and access, but the additional controller functions require the driver to be manually loaded.

Just unzip the hard drive driver to a local file and the driver will be in the root.
