Hard drive protection

#1 Post by dualboot » Fri Apr 04, 2008 3:10 pm

The x300 comes with the hard drive protection turned on, i.e. the laptop will protect against any sudden drops and or movements. Isn't this superfluous when it comes to the SSD drive? Am I missing something? There is no magnetic head to jump/skip/damage a platter...

I'm guessing current X300 owners will want to deactivate this unused protection feature (though it probably doesn't take up much resources to begin with)...
