Any idea where i can order 6 cell battery or the 3 cell bay battery?

Going on a few business trips and would really like to have a few battery options before the trip.

Thanks

Try this URL: http://www-132.ibm.com/content/home/sto ... _main.html

You will have to find the part number you need, there should be a link back to the Lenovo site where you can punch in your lappy part number (mine is 64781HU and yours should be similar, just look on the bottom)... you should then be able to pull up a parts list in there somewhere and find the FRU number for the battery. I got the bay 3 cell and blank for 86. I think the best I could find for just the 3 cell, from a reseller was 135, so they do have good prices (although I wish the GSM WWAN card was less than 371!). If I recall correctly, the 6 cell was less than 100.

batteries purchased through IBM maintenance parts only carry a 90-day warranty, so please keep this in mind.   you can also order direct by calling 800-388-7080 options 2:1:1.

X300 3-cell main battery: FRU 42T4518 $91.50
X300 6-cell main battery: FRU 42T4522 $90.00
X300 3-cell bay battery: FRU 42T4520 $78.00
X300 bay travel cover: FRU 42X5137 $16.50

update: added 3-cell main and travel cover FRU numbers and prices

I stand corrected... 78 (I was remembering 70 for some reason) and 16.50 for the blank. Price seemed right. Have fun.

Thanks to both of you!, I looked at the website under accessories and saw the 3 cell main but none of the others, never thought to try by part number.

not exactly.   the above prices are through IBM maintenance parts, not a retail channel.   retail batteries (which carry a one-year warranty) are more expensive than the above prices and much closer to your prices in AUD after conversion.
