Nice Sleeve For X300

#1 Post by shfawaz » Fri Apr 25, 2008 10:05 am

I had ordered a CaseMate sleeve for the 13" Macbook/Air and as it turns out, the X300 fits in this sleeve like a glove. For $9.99 and $3.00 for ground shipping, you can't go wrong for $13 bucks.

It is a soft mesh type sleeve that has a velcro flap that easily encases the X300 and provides decent protection for someone that needs a simple case and maintain a slim profile.

I'm not sure why its so cheap, but it could be that they are clearing them out.

And no, I'm not affiliated with CaseMate :) They make some great cases for phones and laptops at reasonable prices.

Ok, think of it for what it is, a sleeve, or only part of the shirt :)

Works for me!

i was just poking fun because of the polar opposite prices.   function doesn't always cost a ton, that's for sure. ;)

I bought the incase sleeve from my local computer store:

it's padded and still looks good enough to carry around. MSRP is $34.95, so it's a bit more than a sleeve :-)

I found a really nice leather case that sells for $44.95 plus shipping from Procases. They are selling on Ebay (website is closed?) now and supposedly the case is custom made and looks like a real fit and trim case for the X300.

Brenhtaven makes a sleeve for the Macbook Air and I guess it'd fit the X300 too. I am so sold on Brenthaven after I started using the triload I picked up 2 weeks back, it is really nice.

I really like my messenger / laptop bag from Tumi. It's popular in New York, especially with yuppies. They are also on the expensive side. I like the look, the style, and durability. the padding is for a larger laptop, so it fits X300 fine.

Here's mine:
