One of the X300 shortcomings (the other one is the somewhat flexing keyboard) for this almost perfrct laptop, is the lack of an integral docking station solution.

Lenovo is offering to use its USB port replicator. Will be happy to hear about your experience with this device.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Consul,

Had a few questions about your (or anyone's usage of) USB Port replicator usage:

How do you power your X300 while using the replicator? Do you have to plug in the power cable each time you hook up your X300?

Is there any noticeable sluggishness in usage as everything (i.e. Ethernet, Sound, etc.) goes through one USB port.

Are you using the video out on the port replicator? The biggest problem of the replicator was that it has limited video resolution.

If you use your replicator while the X300 is closed, how do you power it up as the power is on the inside of the laptop?

Thanks,

Hello,

USB dock operates with external power plug only and do dot provide ethernet - an additional USB-ethernet adaptor is included with a package. I would say - it nice solution for office, but not for work on the go.

docks with VGA Output is to old and crappy

can anyone help me for a solution ?

lenovo is very stupid to build a fantastic subnotebook without a docking station
