Why Aren't You Buying An X300?

X200, X201, X220 (including equivalent tablet models) and X300, X301 series specific matters only.

Would you buy an X300 If it were $1k cheaper without an SSD?

In A New York Minute! When can I order one?

gosh, i wish i was 20 again.. :)
or even 50..!
This made wading through the whole thread worthwhile! :D I look at my kids and figure they're in for quite a ride. And, yes, oh to be 20 again (with everything I've learned since I was 20, of course)!

By the way, I'd love an x300! If I hadn't just purchased a T61 I think I may have sprung for the x300. I paid over $2k for my first T42, so I'm not averse to spending great gobs of money on what I perceive to fit my needs. I know I could have spent 1/2 that on a comparable D*ll, but I perceived a need for ThinkPad quality. But now I've got to get a few years out of my T61 before trading up (and I like my T61). Finally, since I'm usually sitting in front of my computer, viewing angle isn't a deal-breaker for me . . .
