Touchpad Tapping Failure

#1 Post by jgrjr » Wed Jun 04, 2008 10:24 pm

No matter how I adjust my touchpad, tapping is problematic. Meaning cursor control is fine but tapping to select or open something is hit or miss. When I first went to adjust settings the sensitivity was set on one step below max. That was from the factory. I found that to be a little unusual. I think that was an indication that this is a problem.

Has anyone found a fix for this? The only thing I have not tried is to disable the Trackpoint. That would seem to defeat the purpose of having both. I have tried every setting variation I can think of.

This is really ridiculous on a $2900.00 laptop.

You are not alone, we have a thread for that already:

I haven't found a solution yet, other than using an external BT mouse.
