X300 and MC8755 don't work :'(

Hello, i'm a new owner of an X300.

Great machine ! Love it !

But i have a problem, i've bought an HSDPA card, taken from a Lenovo, a Sierra Wireless MC8755 (FRU 42T0835), but when i put it in the laptop, the system don't boot and give me the message "Unauthorized Wan card..."

I've read some posts on others forums saying that only the MC8775 work in the X300, but here, on this page from IBM:

When you watch in the "network section", the system seems to be OK with the MC8755...

So... What's wrong ?

only the cards listed in the X300 hardware maintenance manual are compatible in the X300 without modification to the BIOS. the two compatible MC8775 cards are FRUs 42T0931 (vodafone) and 42T0933 (cingular/at&t).

solved !

i've flashed with the Zender modded BIOS and now it works fine

Has a modded bios for the X300 been released by Zender then? I thought only the X6X and T6X series had been fixed....link?

yes a modded bios has been released...

but i need the allow of Zender to publish it...
