X200T announcing September 2008?

#1 Post by WilsonF » Fri Jul 18, 2008 10:00 am

Other sites have what purports to be a leaked Lenovo jpg from June 2008 referring to the X200T as "announcing September 2008." I won't bother providing a link here to keep the heat off Bill, but you can find it with Google or Yahoo searches.

Assuming this jpg is genuine and its info remains accurate, wouldn't that mean that the product wouldn't ship until sometime in October?

One of my kids who is starting college needs a tablet and would like the latest and greatest ThinkPad (instead of using an X61T for nine months or so).

Does anyone have any educated guesses about when a hypothetical "announcing September 2008" TP would actually ship to an early single unit purchaser?

it's anyone's guess whether or not the X200T will be available right away.   why not just send your kid to college with a different thinkpad and replace it when the X200T is available?   you have an X60T in your signature -- would that not work?

The X60T works wonderfully - for me for a while, and now for my daughter.

Y'know, to better emulate the popular legal size.
