Greetings:

On the X200 online order page, it states "Selection of Intel Turbo Memory hard drive cache does not allow a configuration with Integrated UWB Wireless PAN."

What does this actual mean? What is the"Integrated UWB Wireless PAN?"

Maybe it is on a different order page, but when I select the Turbo Memory I don't see any other configuration options change. Am I missing something?

Also is the Turbo memory woth it if one goes with Microsoft Windows Vista 64 and 4 GB of RAM?

Thank you.

Turbo cache will actually slow things down if you use it in conjunction with a Solid state drive since the read and writes are slower for the nand flash it uses.

However if you picked a standard hard drive, you will see boot-up improvements.

However many people do not see any substantial increase in speed for applications with the older version of turbo memory. The newer one has use specific options which you can select certain programs you want loaded into the turbo memory which in my opinion can become tedious.

Personally I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you are using Vista 64 with 4Gb of ram.. There have also been reports of more crashes with machines that use Turbo memory..
