X200 / X30x SSD question - accelerometer chip

#1 Post by dynamicnet » Thu Sep 04, 2008 8:54 am

Greetings:

Does the X200 with SSD and the X30x notebooks have the accelerometer chip built into them?

Or is accelerometer chip applicable only if a regular hard drive is picked?

I'm asking because http://www.musatcha.com/software/LaptopTheftPrevention/ appears to be interesting, but requires the accelerometer chip.

Thank you.

X300 have the HDAPS. Of course its useless for the SSD but perhaps for later "upgrade" to magnetical disk or as you say for other purposes.

Dunno about X200.
