Take a look at this link: MC8780 / Aircard 880U GPS from Oz forum whirlpool.net. - Can confirm that the GPS function is fully functionional - Works OK

Thanks so much Peak2Peak! Finally got my MC8780's GPS function working! The accuracy rivals my Garmin Car GPS, It's amazing.

Plus the GPS works inside a XP vmware session running ontop of a Linux Host.
How good is that !
