Will larger cap harddrive (Non-SSD) bring any disadvantages?

I surely consume a lot of disk spaces. AFAIK, size per se, there is really no difference between all those harddisk options. And if we forget the price for now, I still have two worries of getting larger harddisk:
1. Power consumption. We know that higher speed harddisk (7200rpm) consumes more power. What if same speed but larger size? Will there be more "content" to spin and take more power?
2. Weight. Data is denser in a larger capacity harddisk. Does that mean there are more weighted matters in it? Weight is a very big issue for an X200 buyer.
And I am not considering SSD for now. It is just too small. I do not want to carry an external harddisk with me..
Your comment will be appreciated.
