What is the exact 128Gb SSD model than Lenovo uses ?

#1 Post by ComputerMinder » Thu Sep 18, 2008 1:07 am

I was wondering since the X200/X301 can now be purchased with a 128gb SSD drive, what is the exact drive that is being used ? I wish to purchase such drive for my X61s which I will later probably move to an X200.

I know that Lenovo uses Samsung 128gb SSD but I don't know which model and I know there are quite a few. Just wishes to purchase the best performance/reliable 128gb there is.

Thanks

Not much is known of the drive but it is believed to be a Samsung 128GB MLC-based unit. To date, no reviews or benchmarks have surfaced on the net and Lenovo's information does not give much information besides stating sequential read and write performance (omitting the oh-so-important random read/write performance).
