x200 Wifi dualband?

#1 Post by ellinj » Mon Sep 29, 2008 7:09 am

Does the intel 5300 or 5100 support dual band 802.11n. I am looking to get off of 2.4ghz but it looks like 802.11a routers are becoming hard to come by.

You should get the 5300 which is far better than the 5100 and it does support dual band in the 'n' range. Probably best to get the Linksys WRT610N dual band 'n' router which was on sale at www.newegg.com
X201s: 1440x900 LED backlit 2.13 GHz, 8 GB, 160 GB Intel X25-M Gen 2 SSD, 6200 a/b/g/n, BT, 6-cell, 9-cell, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1, Verizon 4G LTE USB modem, USB 2.0 external optical drive, Lenovo USB to DVI converter
Previous Models: A21p, A30p, A31p, T42, X41T, X60s, X61s, X200s

So the 5100 does not support 802.11n in the 5ghz range?
