Has anyone had the experience getting a crack in the case repaired?
I dropped my x200....

I dont have the accident protection thingy. I just have the normal 3 year depot warranty. Am I covered?

Highly unlikely.

If you used a credit card to buy it, see if there's some coverage there.

hmmm... you must have dropped it really bad... i was always under the impression that thinkpads can survive more than an occasional bump;
i think i've seen some lenovo dude dropping t61 somewhere on a promotional video; guy was standing and holding laptop roughly at his chest height and just dropped it on the floor; notebook was turned on with the lid opened and remained fully operational and without a scratch after this adventure;
would you mind explaining exactly how it happened to give us an idea how durable x200 is?
thanks

It's on my desk and my room is small. When I turned to reach something I think my elbow hit x200 and then it was knocked off then hit the floor. Bad part is it's really not my computer but my friend's
I'll see if I can get a pic from my friend.
The computer is all functional though...

let me get this straight, we dropped your friend's x200 and you're still alive? (-: but seriously, that's unfortunate... depending on which part is broken you may be able to get a replacement, good luck!
