New x200 running at 50% CPU

#1 Post by Mrjoe1008 » Sun Oct 19, 2008 11:40 pm

Hi,

After returning from sleep/hibernation mode, the "system" process eats up 50% of the CPU. Consequently, the system is hot and the fan is always running.

Again, the process is simply "system," NOT "system idle process."

Any ideas???

Thanks,
Joe

It seems that some kind of indexer maybe running. If this is the case, it will stop eventually. Nevertheless, check if you have a browser running when you are returning from sleep mode: sometimes Flash sites can go nuts on your CPU.
