Anybody sucessfully convert X200 base's displayport to dvi?

#1 Post by nivekz » Tue Nov 11, 2008 1:25 am

Hi,

I bought the adapter from monoprice.com which is cheap but not working. There was some pictures in wrong ratio intitially but later it went off. Then I could never make the picture back. I am using a 22 inches samsung LCD with DVI port. I tried different settings and resolutions but it still failed me. The LCD signal light would flash as if the input is not correct.

Has any one make the X200's displayport output (from ultrabase) to a DVI monitor successfully? What adapter/cable are you using?

Or could any one share some hint about my problem?

Thanks a lot!

I've ordered my X200 including the ultrabase with a DVI converter cable from Lenovo. Worked fine out of the box with a Dell 26".

Thanks. I bought the adapter from lenovo too and it eventually works. It looks that quality of the adapter matters.

I also bought the Monoprice adapter and have been unable to get it to work with my W500. I think this adapter has an issue.
