Attachment to an Ultrabay dock requires a connector on the under-side of the laptop.
( if you flip over any laptop such as X41, X61 X200 etc you'll find an Ultrabay mating connector).
The X300/301 has no such connectors, it therefore cannot mate with any kind of physical dock station.

There is no such adapter as the DVD drive is only 7mm height as normal 2.5" HDD is 9mm height. And the SSD using in X300 is 8mm height......therefore there is no way to change the DVD to HDD or SSD.

Actually, as discussed in an older thread, it IS theoretically possible to use a 1.8" Microdrive HDD in the drive space. However, it's not an Ultrabay, so there's no drivebay adapter tray with atapi or sata connector. You'd have to make one, and it's sure to be ugly. Better to get a dock or use USB drives.

so there is no 2nd hard drive adapter and there is no SD slot. what are my memory extendability options (besides the obvious USB drives)?
