How to stop Access Connections from automatically connecting

#1 Post by xwray » Thu Jan 08, 2009 12:07 am

I had a problem with my X200 winxp sp3 wireless connection. I got it working OK again but in the process I did something that changed the action of Access Connections when I turn on or restart the machine where it automatically connects to the WAP whereas before it did not do this, rather it required a manual connection. For the life of me I can't find the setting that controls this behavior...can anyone point me in the right direction.

thanks for any feedback

Uncheck the Enable automatic location switching on the Location Switching dialog under the Configure menu item. This stopped the automatic connection for me on version 5.12 of Access Connections.

Thanks for the suggestion...unfortunately it did not work in my case. I have version 5.02 of AC but I find it hard to believe that would make a difference, especially since it worked the "correct" way before I screwed around with the settings.
