All X200's are pre-wired for wwan. Thus its simply a matter of deciding if you want it. If so the parts can be ordered direct from Lenovo. It's user installable. I called in this morning and placed my order.

Cheers

The question in the first post was about the X200s machines, and all of those are NOT pre-wired for WWAN -- specifically, the X200s units with LED displays (WXGA+ 1440x900) do not have and cannot be ordered with WWAN antennas.

Note: The 6 antennas from the WXGA version can be made to fit in the LED case (with "a little" coaxing!), but all the existing 4 antennas already in the WXGA+ case must be removed and replaced with those from the WXGA case in order to add the WWAN antennas into the LED case. In any case, WWAN on LED units is not (yet?) an option offered by Lenovo because the antennas are not there and the LED case is not designed to accept those antennas.

I understood, but the question is if Lenovo will update the X200s or not in order to use the LED display ( 1440X990) with the WWAN.
This is just because I'm thinking to buy it, and the WWAN is the only reason to wait... (obviously I don't want to have a X200s with 1200 resolution to use the WWAN... :P)

;)

Yes I was a bit too rushed and missed my typo as I was thinking X200s but wrote X200

Excuse my ignorance but what about the SIM slot. Do the X200s WXGA+ machines already have the SIM slot?

But I don't understand a thing. When you select the components of x200, you can choose the integrated WWAN, but when you customize the x200S, there isn't the possibility to choose the integrated WWAN (Mobile Broadband). So i thought there is no way to have the connection via SIM into the X200s.
What i'm wrong?

Data from the sales configurator does not extrapolate reliably into the engineering decisions that were made in designing the motherboards!

Rather than explaining why it is so, let me simply advise you of the fact that it is so.

As far as I know, x200s models are NOT WWAN upgradable, thus no such option in the configurator. Even on the x200, only some models are WWAN upgradable.

The point is precisely that a SIM card holder exists on the X200s motherboards, notwithstanding the observation you make.

I suppose having all that (LV/ULV, LED backlit, high-res, WWAN) as well as a webcam is asking too much? Is it possible to get webcam with the high-res LED backlit screen?
T410, X220, X200s, X200, X40, X31, X30, 755c

I am not aware of any model with builtin webcam for x200s.
