Can you purchase the Slim DVD of x300/x301 on its own?

Just curious, if i were to configure an x301 without the DVD drive, would I be able to add in the internal DVD drive at a later time? I would think so, but i can't seem to find a product page for it on Lenovo's accessory page. Any thoughts?

Yes, the drive is available, the part number is 42T2509.

I had thought of buying the X300 I have without the DVD-RW drive but it was much less expensive to just have it included in the original purchase.

I've also seen the bare drive (I believe it's made by panasonic) on sale on eBay, although the ones there don't come with the Thinkpad bezel.

I ordered my X301 without a DVD drive, and I simply bought a $20 external enclosure for my old DVDRW from an X3 Ultrabase. It works for me, since I don't use the optical drive that much, plus the DVDRW I have supports dual layer burning as well, whereas the one that comes with the X300 and X301 doesn't.
