Power Manager not working?

I have a new x200 but my power manager is a mess:
1. the power gauge doesn't refresh-- it stays at the same %
2. the power manager tells me my battery is not genuine. I bought directly from lenovo
I've re-installed 4 times already, same issues. Anyone know why?

Could be a bad battery. Have you gone into the power manager and clicked on the battery info to see if that is working. I think the new batteries have a chip that keeps track of the vital information and if yours is not working, it feeds false info back to you. Did it do this before the new battery from Lenovo?

this is new laptop and the problem is with the battery that came with the laptop

Like I said, it could be a bad battery. These things happen, heck my W500 screen died in only a week!
