X200 Bluetooth Not Working

Uhhhh my X200 has a lot of problems, haha (see all my other posts).
I can't get the bluetooth antenna to turn on. Where do I turn it on?
I used to turn it on via the productivity center but the bluetooth button is no longer there. My toggle switch only turns on my WIFI now.
I tried reinstalling driver but the driver won't upgrade unless it can find a bluetooth device? But the radio is off and hence... the issue...
I'm so confused -_- I'm advanced with computers. I don't see BT in my devices. I click on the BT link via the control panel but there's no button to turn on. What's going on here.

Did you try Fn + F5?

fn+f5 does nothing... doesn't change WIFI nor does it change BT
All the BT options seem to be "frozen" or "disabled". Even when I try to change settings for BT, it gives me an error. I think it's because something's wrong with my BT driver or something. But I can't find it in devices and I can't install the package from Lenovo....
Thanks in advance for your help though!

Actually, even if you don´t have bluetooth (installed), Fn + F5 is supposed to turn on and off your WiFi. Before installing any drivers, I believe you should power on the BT device, then it´s present in the device manager and you can install your drivers (or alternatively, let windows install its drivers). So, if Fn + F5 really does nothing, I would suggest you to check your hotkey drivers (I assume you have wifi driver working). Also, note that Lenovo System Interface driver and Power Management driver are needed for hotkey/onscreen to properly work.

AH HA! You might have caught something! My power management driver is installed but there is a ! next to it. I tried reinstalling but it says it's already up to date.
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I'm also having trouble with my power manager (it doesn't update the battery status, see my other thread). My BT worked fine a few days ago when I first got this computer.
Maybe Power management driver is the issue, trying now

you're the man! reinstalling PM driver did fix the bluetooth issue, very interesting.
not sure if it fixed my power manager issue from the other thread but we'll see.

Yup, when installing drivers for my Win 7 setup I also noticed that the Power Management driver is needed for more than I originally assumed (my assunption was only concerning Lenovo Power Manager/power profiles). But with your thread now it turned out that it´s practically needed for everything to work properly
Glad that your issue got resolved,
Marin
EDIT:...and this BTW I believe explains why hotkey/onscreen doesn´t work without the PM driver...

I installed Windows 7 RC (64-bit) on X200 Tablet along with the latest drivers from Lenovo and Windows Update. The Bluetooth sometimes fails and the Fn+F5 combo refuses to respond. The Windows button + X triggers the Windows Mobility Center but the Bluetooth is not one of the tiles featured there. Though someone did a custom tile for the Windows Mobility Center (see
http://www.withinwindows.com/2008/03/23 ... nter-tile/), it does not work for 64-bit Windows 7. After much struggle, I figured out one workaround. The next time when the Bluetooth acts up again, don't fret over the lack of a way to turn on Bluetooth again. Go to ThinkVantage and Tablet Shortcut Menu, click on option "Disable Wireless Radios" to turn off all radios (including WiFi and Bluetooth) and click on the option "Enable Wireless Radios" to turn all of them back on. You will find Bluetooth working again. I hope this workaround is useful to some of you before Lenovo fixes all remaining driver compatibility issues for Windows 7. Cheers.

notsofastnow, you are a genius. I wasted several hours on this problem. It seems many people on the internet suffer from this problem but lenovo is not eager to fix it. Even Actually, even Lenovo support personnel don't know what to do. Your trick is awesome!!
