auto screen rotate on X200T

#1 Post by man_unit » Mon Feb 16, 2009 11:45 pm

Hello everyone :)
I have been searching the web for a place(s) that have information on the X200 tablet and I stumbled across this site. First, this is for a clean install, no Lenovo image or RR disks. I tried searching here but I didn't find anything specific to the tablet. I am looking for the program or driver that makes the display rotate when you swivel the screen into either landscape or portrait mode; does anyone know?

Thanks!

Check the drivers at this link, especially the hotkeys drivers.

Make sure you use the video driver from Lenovo.

Also note that when you run the executable that you download, it does not install the driver, merely unpacks it. You have to navigate to the directory which you unpacked to and run the installation from there.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad

Thanks everyone. I'm doing my fourth clean install and that was the last thing I needed to track down. I found the executable for the screen rotation and I now need to locate what driver download it came from.

For reference to anyone else looking for the files,

The executable is ScreenRotation.exe. It was located c:SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\TBUTIL\. I'm guessing this is the default location or a glitch I had when it was downloaded. There are lots of other drivers in there as well. It is odd since the ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/mo ... gd15ww.txt online says the default is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TBUTIL. I didn't have the WIN folder :( <---no jokes about my lack of WIN

Anyway, I think it is the LENTBCTL.exe (tablet shortcut menu) unpacked driver I ran to get the display to rotate.

Once I get all my non Lenovo drivers installed I will start adding them back and seeing which does what and where it gets stored.

Thanks again :)
