Fan is scratching inside my X300 :(

Hi everyone,

i have this issue with the fan of my Thinkpad X300. When i close the lid, i hear the fan
touching something, slowing it down. It seems that its touching the outer case and
i think it only does that when ists warm. Did anybody experience similar problems or is
there a way to fix it?

Nobody with the same problem? Its really starting to bug me now

On a machine that new the best way to fix it is to send it in to Lenovo for repair.

Very odd given where the lid is, and where the fan is. Please post back if you figure out the problem.

I wanted to avoid giving my thinkpad away, but i come to think
that theres no other way. Thanks for the link, Mats, bringing it in
myself sounds better than sending it by mail to the Lenovo repair
center.
Just have to have the time...

They fixed in 1 hour...

New Fan.. The Technician is in Cologne every Tuesday and Thursday. I think till 18:00.

It stopped. Maybe it was just wrong placement on the table, but now its over.
Lets see if it stays that way...
