Type 64781TU. I've always been intrigued by the X300 and am thinking of one. What's a decent price for a under warranty X300 with that config?

It looks like the completed auctions on eBay are averaging around $1250 for the x300 ThinkPads.
Mine isn't a 64781TU (but the configuration is almost identical) and that's exactly what I was thinking it would sell for.

Thanks a whole bunch, that's in line with what I suspected

Would the fact that he's wiped the original OS (Vista, I'm guessing) and installed his own OS (XP) do much to the price? He destroyed the recovery partition too. I was thinking a $50 discount for that.

I would ask for a discount if the seller doesn't have the restore/recovery disks.
A lot of folks like to get rid of the recovery partition to free up the space (and that's probably more important on the x300 with it's limited storage capacity) but I like the option of returning the machine to the factory configuration.

I have an x300 that I'm selling for a little more than that if you're interested.
4 GB RAM
DVDRW multiburner
6 cell battery (genuine Lenovo part)
1 yr warranty
I think the rest is the same amongst the x300's. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Not interested, I got this one for a good price, and honestly, I am not too impressed with the LCD on the X300. Brightness & contrast is better than my flexview T60p, but it's far worse in every other way. Will need to do a fresh XP install with the install discs Brad is mailing me.
