X301 max RAM

#1 Post by Nubulin » Sun Mar 08, 2009 3:09 pm

Spec sheet says 4GB. Has anyone confirmed if it will take 8GB? It seems like all modern Notebooks will take more than 4GB.

Thanks!
Current - T500 - T60p
Previous - X301 - X200 - X61s - T40

Here in Germany, X301 can be configured with 8 GB of RAM and it works (from what I have seen).

First welcome to our forum!

Of course, the choice of 8 GB RAM depends on what one is doing on his machine :) But to be honest, with that cpu and gpu of X301 I could hardly imagine anyone doing anything reasonable that really requires 8 GB of RAM... In other words, if I need 8 GB of RAM, I would probably also need faster cpu (and possibly faster gpu as well) ;)

Cheers,

Marin
