It goes in the optical drive.

Yes.

Just do the math based on their rated capacities and your personal experience.

Lenovo has it on their website.

Hi dear akao and thanks. Please tell me your battery says that is impure.Means that keep working (alone?)how much time?Or you working with bay battery also? These two (3 cells+3 cells bay)working about 4 hours?
Thanks.

My understanding is that when you said "pure", I thought it pure s**t

, and when akao replied impure, I thought its just a joke

, becuase saying that battery is "impure" just doesnt make too much sense, unless it was a joke ), every single other answer is rock-solid-valid as titanium imho

I use as well a second battery in the optical drive bay but I cannot manege to have it a 2nd battery.
What I mean it that the power monitor see this battery as main battery and use it before the "real" main battery.
This bother me because I cannot swap the main battery with a spare one keeping the laptop running from the optical bay battery.
anyone knows how to change this priority?

Sorry to say there is no way to change the battery priority.

Because it always uses the modular battery first, it wears out quickly. Since mine wore out so quickly I decided to get the nine cell instead, which is still over 87% of capacity after a years plus usage.

I understand that even with the default battery and the bay battery, the total combined hours (in realistic settings) is no more than 4 hours... pls correct me if I'm wrong

this doesn't make me happy at all
having a secondary battery that discharges at first makes no sense
