SIERRA MC8775 +LENOVO X300

Hello, i'm a new owner of an X300.

Great machine ! Love it !

But i have a problem, i've bought an HSDPA card, taken from a Lenovo, a Sierra Wireless MC8755 , but when i put it in the laptop, the system don't boot and give me the message "Unauthorized Wan card..."

I've read some posts on others forums saying that only the MC8775 work in the X300, but here, on this page from IBM

could you have a patched bios for x300+mc8775

please help me

I am also new to this great forum and a happy owner of X300 (used to have R40 for five years until its fan had been broken).

So before the gurus answer your question:-).... You need to install the BIOS modified by Zender. For this, find a user with the nick Zender in this forum and PM him asking to give you a link to the page for downloading his BIOS. Read the instructions on the page carefully and install the BIOS accordingly. You will be fine then.
