Here is a speculation on a redesign of X200s using Intel's CULV platform.

It is not clear how credible the report is but it does suggest a possible redesign or potentially different iterations of the X-series.

No, it's just a cheaper version of thinkpad, Lenovo wants to sell it as a thinkpad netbook.
In some Asia counties like China and Taiwan, they selling a CULV 1.2Ghz for around $750
The performance of CULV cpu is horrible, from the testing result, it just barely better than a Atom cpu.
Here's are PCMark scores:
HP mini 2140 Atom 1.6Ghz---1564
X200s with CULV---1987
X200s with SL9400--4400
X200 with P8400--4766
T61p with T9500---5980

I thought CULV was a low power platform for thin and light notebooks and will use low heat generating celeron, core 2 solo, and core 2 duo CPU's. Also how did you get the PC Mark score?

CULV CPUs are also cheap, about $200 cheaper than a SU/SL series CPU.
I have a friend in Taiwan, he has all the above machines and did the test.
