HELP! X200 Monitor Turns Off When Idle (Dual Monitor Setup)

#1 Post by mooingmooseman » Sun May 10, 2009 7:50 pm

Hi guys,

I have an external monitor (as my main) and the x200 laptop monitor as my secondary. Power settings are to turn on screensaver after 10 minutes, never turns off monitor.

After my computer goes idle (i.e. screen saver activate), I come back and touch the mouse to move it out of screen saver. External monitor displays the login screen (I require password after screen saver) and laptop monitor is on but blank (I can see the backlight on).

After I type in password, both screens are on for a second, and then immediately my laptop monitor turns off. I go to display settings and it shows the laptop monitor as off. I need to check "extend screen to this monitor" again to activate the x200's screen.

It's a huge pain and it screws up my UltraMon also. This never happened before (I did windows update recently)-- anyone know what's going on?

Thanks, and sorry if this is an obscure bug.
