I read a number of posts about SSD performance on the x series. Can all of you using SSD please post your CrystalDiskMark? For more uniform comparison, please also post your model, cpu speed, OS w/patch level, SSD original brand and oem model and CDM version. Post as many test as you feel like, the more data the better for everyone.
For mine,
x200s, 1.86GHz, XP Pro sp3, Lenovo 128SSD 1.8" Samsung oem, CDM2.2
1 cycle 100MB
seq 97.56 47.98
512k 93.62 42.94
4k 13.91 4.75
3 100
97.08 54.65
94.06 62.39
13.7 4.73
5 100
97.24 75.96
93.87 63.77
13.71 2.873
5 50
97.18 75.39
93.45 65.61
13.91 4.64
I think there is some kind of write cache on the drive so I am using the 1 cycle test as my reference point on this.
This is plenty fast for me comparing with a spindle hard drive. However, with new SSDs coming on the market, I am very inclined to get a bigger size if the newer ones have extreme performance that blows the Lenovo drive out of the water (given a certain price point of course).
Please bring them on.
